 Yes. CLIPSO periodically offers a 2 day Certified Installer Training at our Blauvelt, New York facility. Various techniques and processes are taught to improve installation skills. After completing the training, installers are given a certificate acknowledging their certification to install CLIPSO products and are added to CLIPSO’s network of certified installers.

Please visit the Become an Installer page to learn more about signing up for CLIPSO Certified Installer Training.

Yes, CLIPSO ceilings & walls can be painted using a roller or spray gun.

  • CLIPSO fabrics must be stored flat, not upright, on a smooth, level surface across the entire length of the roll.
  • Do not stack the rolls.
  • Store fabrics in a closed, covered place that is not exposed to any direct light or weather.
  • Fabric rolls can be stored at temperatures between 32°F and 95°F.
  • Do not put anything on top of the packages.

When opening your box:

  • Make sure your workspace is clean;
  • Be sure to use clean gloves when handling the fabric;
  • Open the box with the CLIPSO logo in front of you;
  • The fabric should not touch the floor or any dusty/dirty areas or surfaces;
  • Keep the plastic cover on the fabric until it is ready to be installed

Be sure to keep the roll number from the package’s label, along with your invoice and delivery slip. This information is necessary in the event we need to search for your specific product or reference its warranty.

A written request must be submitted through your sales representative, including clear photos and a detailed description of any issue with your purchase. Please include the information that comes on the label stapled to the packaging, as these reference numbers are very important to process your claim or request. All requests will be examined by our Quality Department and you will hear back from us within 30 days.

You may encounter unique environmental circumstances:

“Warm” rooms: Rooms/areas with higher temperatures (fireplaces, kitchen hoods, etc.)

In such instances, please note that using the profile C10 and C11 is recommended. These profiles can withstand higher temperatures and are ideal for these applications.

Humid rooms (bathrooms, spas, swimming pools, etc.): Use care around ventilation systems and provide air access if needed. CLIPSO does not recommend the fitting of fabrics inside steam rooms or saunas.

For all your particular projects, do not hesitate to contact your sales representative who can assist you on selecting the best solution for your project.

Regarding the fitting of CLIPSO fabrics on your walls, except for the profiles (CCA, CC, C6 or other framing profiles), the process remains the same as for ceilings.

Tip: Fit the soundproof padding ref. LA-53 between the wall and the fabric, or any other insulation padding.

  • It provides an extra layer of protection between the wall and the fabric.
  • It helps ease the asperities of the wall.
  • It enhances the acoustic and insulating properties of the room.
  • It will feel softer.

If the fabric is dirty, rub the surface gently with a damp and clean glove or cloth. Dampen the cloth with a neutral PH solution. We recommend using product ref. O-CCL10E. If the mark still exists, do not hesitate to contact us.

If a fold remains after the installation it may be possible to use a heat gun. You should first test it on a fabric scrap. When using it, do not hold it too close to the fold and be particularly careful near any PVC profiles.

If these problems persist, or you have any other issues, do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Use the proper tools: spatulas, cutting knife with new blades;
  • Do not hesitate to add extra fabric in the profile groove;
  • Always finish you work at the corners;
  • Trim the edges with a 0.5 cm margin using a knife with new blade;
  • After verifying the tension of the ceiling, push the margins with the spatula to reinforce the tension and give a perfect finish.
  • Proceed to installation of devices: spotlights, ventilation (cutting the fabric, AC). Always use low tension spotlights and hermetic bulbs.

No, the fabric is a polyester knit coated with polyurethane. It is 15 times stronger than PVC.

The first step consists of fitting the tracks all around the perimeter of the room.

  • Before starting, check the state of the existing ceiling. If it is damaged, remove the unstable part, to avoid it falling onto the CLIPSO product during and after the install.
  • When you plan the installation of light devices, ventilation, etc., think about the height you will need for these elements.
  • You can now affix your profiles: please use the holes already made. Be particularly vigilant when joining two sections, in the length or in the corners (add screw in the corners to strengthen the fixation).
  • The next step of the installation is the installation of spot holders. Check your electrical connections before stretching the fabric.
  • Regarding any air conditioners, etc., please check the air tightness of actual installations.

The second step concerns cleaning and protection. It is recommended to work in a clean environment. Cover the floors and furniture to avoid soiling the fabric. Be sure there are no sharp objects in the area that could damage the covering.

When measuring your wall or ceiling, as a general rule, include a minimum of an additional 6 inches to each edge, for tucking purposes. For instance, if your actual measurements are 10′ by 20′, you should order fabric measuring 11′ by 21′.
